My Latest Interest

I was surfing the net a few days ago and i came across something known as ’stock photography’. i read up on it and found it to be a pretty cool hobby to take on, so to try out, i went around with my point and shoot camera, Sony DSC-W110 and took random snapshots of urban buildings and unique patterns. After which, i sat down by my laptop and edited some photos. being an amateur in digital photography, i know nuts bout the functions of photoshop but most importantly, i realised it’s something challenging yet fulfilling. i don’t know when this passion for photography will die out but i certainly hope it doesn’t. if i go pro, i might just purchase an SLR camera, but for now, i’ll just use my sony digital camera to fulfill my latest interest.

Overseas Training

Yeah, back home once again after a pretty short week. gonna depart to taiwan in bout one and a half day’s time. i’m glad that i’m looking fwd to having a great time with my friends over there rather than dreading to even leave this place. aslc has been smooth sailing thus far. the first couple of weeks were mentally taxing but things improved along the way. met up with a secondary school buddy who’s a 2nd sergeant now last night who happened to be in camp for some event. he gave me tips on how to survive/enjoy the navigation and the 7 days outfield training. now, i’m more prepared to accept what’s coming once i’m in the foreign land. haha.

right now, i’ve only completed 1/3 of my army life. as much as i think being in army is a waste of my youth, i think it’s essential to those of my age. i’m sure every single nsf would share the same sentiments with me when i say that, it’s being in the army that made us more appreciative of the life we have on the outside. after being in army for bout 7 months, i’ve learnt alot, became stronger in both mental and physical aspects. one of my good buddies just enlisted to the army last week and is undergoing bmt now. when i look at him, i can see how much i’ve gone through to get till this stage and soon, i’ll be enjoying the fruit of my labour as a commander.

okay, guess that’s bout it for now. will update once i’m back from taiwan and hopefully, i would have lots of stories to write about and for everyone to read. see ya!

Introduction.

Ha. This effort to create an online journal is pretty much a random effort. Had a couple of blogs before but they became stagnant after a period of time. Lets see how this one goes. I guess this will sum up my first entry.  Look out for my second. In the meantime, i’m out.
